About Me
My background
11 years later, let’s open back up! 
I’ve done several projects over the years with friends and family who knew I previously did photography… from weddings to newborns. I worked in a photography studio for 2 years after college and learned so much about lighting, posing, and various photography styles. I have a background in graphic design, art history, and advertising. When I first started Emmy D Photography, I was freshly out of college with my degree, had finished working at the studio, and was missing my artistic outlet of photography. A banker by day and a nature photographer by night. I keep feeling that artistic pull again.
I’m now married to my best friend of 13 years and we have 3 boys and they keep me on my toes! I’ve been able to take many photos of them, almost daily. Now it’s time to still take their photos, but other families as well. 
My style of editing may have changed some over the years, but my favorite is still seeing that sparkle in the eye that’s genuine, or the light shining just right. It’s all about the angles & the moments.
